Eligibility

Registration is for athletes aged 8+ (as of December 31, 2026).  Athletes must have a season’s pass, be comfortable skiing or boarding on Black Diamond terrain, and be able to ride a chairlift completely on their own.

Less experienced skiers are strongly encouraged to participate in one of the excellent programs offered by the Sun Peaks Sports School before joining our club.

Athlete Mandatory Licenses  

For insurance purposes, your child must purchase an athlete’s license from Freestyle BC / Freestyle Canada

If your child will not compete at all or will only compete in either regional events or in the Super Youth category at provincial events (ages 12 and under), you can purchase the “Club Athlete” license for $115.  If your child will compete in the Timber Tour category at provincial events (ages 12+) or beyond, you must purchase the “Provincial Athlete” license for $195You will be prompted to purchase a license when you register.

Refund & Injury Policy

  • Refunds will not be available for no-snow conditions except where no alternative can be offered by the end of the season.  In this case, a prorated refund or credit for the following season may be offered instead.
  • If a session is missed by an athlete due to illness, injury, or another commitment, there is no opportunity for makeup sessions.
  • Notice of withdrawal from a program, camp or event must be given no later than 4 weeks from the start date of such program, camp or event.
  • If notice of withdrawal is received less than 4 weeks prior to the start date of a program, camp or event, no refunds or credits will be issued.
  • If notice of withdrawal from a program, camp, or event is received 4 weeks or more from the start date, a full refund will be issued to the payee, minus service fees and taxes, and an administration fee of $75.00.
  • Written requests for refunds or credits for programs, camps or events may be considered at the discretion of the Board on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances. Additional documents (e.g., doctor’s note) may be required.
  • If you miss a session due to personal illness, injury, or another commitment, you are not eligible for a refund, credit, or makeup session.
  • If Sun Peaks Freestyle Club cancels a session due to weather or extenuating circumstances, we reserve the right to reschedule such session until the end of the season. In the case a session cannot be rescheduled, a refund or credit may be available at the discretion of the Board.
  • An admin fee of $75 will be applied to all refunds or credits.
